District Governor

 

 

Beth Stevens

 District Governor 2017-18

 

     Lion Beth Stevens joined the Hampton Roads Blind Lions Branch Club in 2010. She quickly became involved by chairing projects. The following year, Beth served as the Branch Club President. In 2012, she was elected Virginia Beach Town Center – Blind Lions Club president. That year the club was recognized With the LCI World of Service Award for service to the blind and vision impaired. She has also served the club as Membership Chair. Lion Beth has served the District as Zone H Chair, Region III Chair and on the 24D Charity Foundation Board.

     Her honors include Proud Sponsor, Club Excellence, Lion of the Year, Dream Achiever’s Leadership Medal, Lions International President’s Certificate of Appreciation, and a Melvin Jones Fellowship.   

     Lion Beth began losing her eyesight in her late twenties and now only has light and dark perception. She has been happily married to Lion Mack for 23 years. They live in Virginia Beach.

First Vice District Governor

 

 

Jeff Gaddis

First Vice District Governor 2017-18

      Lion Jeff Gaddis is currently a member of the Denbigh Lions Club. Prior to that he was a member of the Gloucester Lions Club where he served as president 3 times, secretary, membership chair, lion tamer, and tail twister. Lion Jeff also served as Zone A chair 2 times, Region 1 chair 3 times, and as 2nd Vice District Governor of District 24-D.
    Lion Jeff works for the national Park Service in Yorktown. Married to Lion Donna for 24 years, they have two children Lion Colette and Lion John plus two grandkids. Lion Jeff also served in the US Army, and is on the VPUSBC board of directors and a member of the Newport News Elks Lodge. He loves to go camping, fishing, bowling and spending time with his family.

  

Second Vice District Governor

 





Patricia Jones

Second Vice District Governor 2017-18

     Lion Pat Jones joined the Virginia Beach Oceanside Lions Club in 2006. She served as the Oceanside Lions Club President from 2012 to 2014, as Zone G chair from 2013 to 2015, and as Region III chair from 2015 to 2017. She has also served as Club Bulletin Chair and Special Interest Club Specialist.
    Lion Pat is a certified Guiding Lion and graduated from the Lions Regional Leadership Institute.
    Her honors include Proud Lion and a Melvin Jones Fellowship.
    Pat lives in Suffolk, Virginia.

Cabinet Secretary

 



 
 Don Fuller

Cabinet Secretary 2017-18

    Lion Don is a member of the Hampton Mercury Lions Club. He was President in 1999-2000 and for 16 years has served as Club Secretary. Lion Don has served the District as President of the Lions Charity Foundation of District 24D, Assistant Director of the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center of Eastern Virginia, Region 1 and Zone C Chairperson. His honors include two-time Lion of the Year, Progressive Good Samaritan, two Lions Clubs International President’s Certificate of Appreciation, the Lions International President’s Leadership Medal and a Melvin Jones Fellowship. 
    Don retired from the Army with 24 years of service. He holds a BS degree in Business and an MA in Management, and owns a graphic design company in Hampton. Don loves golf although isn’t very good at it. Raised in Idaho, Don married his lovely wife Paula 48 years ago in Boise, has two children and four grandchildren all living in Virginia.

Evonne Green


Cabinet Treasurer 2017-18 nbsp; Lion Evonne was born in Houston TX but raised in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake when the area was still country. She grew up riding horses, swimming, and taking care of the animals.  She was introduced to Lions in late summer 2008 by one of her business clients and friend, Lion Michael Keelan and has been active in the young Virginia Beach Town Center - Blind Lions Club ever since. Lion Evonne worked on a Children’s Eye Screening project where she observed how Lions impacted the lives of children. Following this experience she couldn't resist being part of the Lions organization. Being the owner and chief executive of Bookkeeping by Evonne she was a natural to take over the position of Club Treasurer. Lion Evonne also volunteered to chair the Sight and Hearing Committee in her club, as well as take on the Children’s Services Committee on the District Staff. She is a driving force in her club and continues to energize every project she tackles. She runs the Smiles Across the Miles project that makes holiday cards and writes notes of appreciation in them, then has a party at a local nursing home to honor the veterans living there. The USO delivers the cards to soldiers and sailors serving overseas.

    Lion Evonne has been married to her terrific husband Lion Ike for over 29 years and has three grown children and two amazing granddaughters.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Immediate Past District Governor

 

Tucker Casanova

    
 
Lion Tucker Casanova, Immediate Past District Governor of District 24-D lives in Norfolk, Virginia. PDG Lion Donnie Johnson sponsored his membership into the Aragona-Pembroke Lions Club in 2008.  He has served in multiple positions in his club including President.

   On the District level he has served as Lions Eye Bank Liaison, Zone F chairman, Chaired Public Relations/Parades and Floats as well as the Editor of the Knight’s Vision Newsletter for four years. He is also the Zone H Director on the Board of the Lions Charity Foundation. Lion Tucker is the Lion Medical Eye Bank’s Hospital and Community Education Coordinator where he had his first taste of Lionism. He is married to his wife of more than ten years, Lion Tanya, and has two wonderful children, Alex and Taryn.
